The Cloud Analytics interface consists of three sections – the main central canvas, the left-hand navigation menu and the right-hand support menu, located in the top right hand corner of the screen, as the question mark icon.
The Cloud Analytics Dashboard screen provides a visual indication of the record of your account. A user of Cloud Analytics will only see information related to their accounts.
1. Top section
The top section gives an overview of the number of accounts and sub-accounts linked to the Dashboard, any alerts, the number of resources created in the last 7 days, the average daily spend and the total spend over the lifetime of all Cloud Applications.
2. Middle section
The middle section indicates the top accounts. The last 60 days of cloud usage, the month to date spend and the project spend for the month.
Top Accounts section indicates the top six accounts. If there are less than six accounts, all the accounts will show in this section, (in this case three). By clicking on each individual account, the current invoice amount will appear at the top of the section. The previous invoice amount and the number of days left in the current invoice will also appear. The number to the right of the account name is the total spend over the life of the account.
The Last 60 Days graph in the centre of the screen displays the spend for each individual account over the last 60 days. By clicking on the account name underneath the graph, you will be able to remove that account from the graph.
The Month to Date section allows users to investigate your cloud spend quickly and succinctly, gaining visibility and control of your cloud expenditure. Each billing period starts on the first day of each month and ends on the last day of each month. The graph displays the daily cost, and indicates how many days are left in the billing period.
The Projected Month Spend section indicates the projected spend for this month based on the data gathered. It also provides the total spend for the previous month, and the growth percentage.
3. Bottom section
The bottom section indicates the breakdown by account, the breakdown by resource type and the breakdown by provider.
The Breakdown by Account section indicates the specific percentage of the total spend that each individual account uses. To see the percentage of the total cost for each account, move the cursor over the graph. To remove an account from the graph, click on the account name.
The Breakdown by Resource Type section indicates the specific percentage of the total spend that each individual resource type uses. To see the percentage of the total cost for each resource type, move the cursor over the graph. To remove a resource type from the graph, click on the resource name.
The Breakdown by Provider section indicates the specific percentage of the total spend that each individual provider uses. To see the percentage of the total cost for each provider, move the cursor over the graph. To remove a provider from the graph, click on the account name.
