An Environment is a collection of configured networks and policies that define an operating environment in which cloud resources are provisioned. Environment policies define governance rules that all deployments into the Environment must conform to.
The Cloud Broker requires at least one Environment configured in order to operate.
This article describes the steps required to manage Environments. Refer to the article Configuring Environments for steps in configuring existing Environments.

Creating an Environment
This procedure describes the steps required to create a new Environments
- Log into the Broker UI as an administrative user
- Navigate to Manage > Environments
- Select the Cloud tab
- Click Add
- In the Add New Cloud Environment screen, enter the following details
- Name: Name of the Environment
- Description: Description of the Environment
- Click Add
- The Environment has been created
- Configure the Environment
Removing an Environment
This section details the steps required to delete an Environment.
Environments cannot be deleted unless its dependencies have been removed. Dependencies include published catalogue items as well as deployments.
- Log into the Broker UI as an administrative user
- Navigate to Manage > Environments
- Select the Cloud tab
- On the Environment to be removed, select the View drop down menu
Click Remove - Click Remove
- A status message indicates that the Environment has been removed
