This article describes the steps required to manage Broker Access Keys in Buttonwood Exchange.
Broker Access Keys allow Buttonwood Broker to be associated with the Buttonwood Exchange tenancy and is used during the Initial Configuration stage of a Buttonwood Broker installation and configuration.
Prerequisites
- Administrative access to the Exchange UI
Adding Broker Access Keys
This section describes the steps required to add new Broker Access Keys to the organisation in Buttonwood Exchange.
Procedure Steps
- Login to the Exchange UI as an administrative user
- Navigate to Manage > Broker
- Click Add
- In the Create Broker Access Key screen, enter the following information:
- Name: A unique name for the Broker access key
- Duration: The duration that the key is valid - being 1 year, 2 years, or never expires
- Click Create
- In the New Access Key Created screen, note the Access Key and Secret Key
Note: For security reasons, the access credentials are only displayed once, only at this point, and will not be available for retrieval at a later date - lost/forgotten Broker access keys should be disabled and a new one created - Click Close
Deleting Broker Access Keys
This section describes the steps required to remove Broker Access Keys from the organisation in Buttonwood Exchange.
Note: Any Broker appliances configured to use a Broker Access Key which is deleted will cease to connect to Buttonwood Services. An error will be displayed under the Broker Services section of the Broker Status page.
Procedure Steps
- Login to the Exchange UI as an administrative user
- Navigate to Manage > Broker
- Select the Broker Access Key(s) to be deleted
- Click Delete Selected
- In the Delete Groups screen, click Delete
- A notification indicates the status of the request
