Adding Repositories - SMB

This article describes the steps required to add an SMB Share repository to the Buttonwood Cloud Broker to enable artifacts stored in repositories to be used in Blueprints.

Prerequisites

  • Administrative access to the Broker UI
  • Repository details, including:
    • Repository share path
    • Repository credentials

Procedure Steps

  1. Login in the the Broker UI as an administrative user
  2. Navigate to Admin > Control Panel
  3. Select the Repositories tile
  4. Click Add
  5. At the Select Repository Type screen, select SMB Share
    Click Add
  6. At the Add Git Repository screen, enter the following details:
    • Name: Name for this repository
    • Repository URL: The URL of the CMB Share repository in the format smb://host.domain/share_name
    • Domain: The login domain for the SMB host
    • Username: A service account with access to the share
    • Password: The password for the service account
    • Description: Description for this repository
  7. Click Add
  8. A status message indicates the status of the request
  9. Perform a repository connection test and synchronisation
