Viewing Users
This section describes the steps required to access Users.
Procedure Steps
- Login in the the Broker UI as an administrative user
- Navigate to Admin > Control Panel
- Select the Users tile
- Select the Activated Users tab
- A list of Users is displayed
- Click on the Username to view details of the user
Viewing Logged-In Users
This section describes the steps required to view users who are currently logged in to the Broker.
Procedure Steps
- Login in the the Broker UI as an administrative user
- Navigate to Admin > Users
- Select the Current Sessions tab
- A list of sessions is displayed
- Click on the Username to view details of the user
User Details
The Details screen shows a summary of the selected User.
This screen is context sensitive and may provide links to other administrative functions. In this example, the Broker is Active Directory integrated, hence no Reset Password button is shown.
User API Tokens
The API Tokens screen lists the API Tokens which have been created for the user, allowing the user to programatically interact with the Broker REST API.
It is recommended to add an API Token for each a application or purpose. Buttonwood also recommends using API Tokens attached to service accounts rather than user accounts to segregate user roles.
User Groups
The Groups screen lists the Broker groups which the selected user has been assigned to.
User Sessions
The Sessions screen lists the historical login sessions for the selected user.
