Named Subnets allows friendly names to be assigned to a network mapping.
Attaching blueprints resources to a Named Subnet placeholder makes a single blueprint usable across many different providers.

- Administrative access to the Broker UI
Creating a Named Subnet
This section describes the steps required to create a new Named Subnet.
- Log into the Broker UI as an administrative user
- Navigate to Admin > Control Panel
- Select the Named Subnets tile
- A list of existing Named Subnets is displayed
- Click Add
- On the Add Name Subnet screen, provide the following information:
- Name: A name for this Named Subnet
- Description: A description for this Named Subnet
- Click Add
- The Named Subnet has been added
Removing a Named Subnet
This section describes the steps required to remove a Named Subnet.
Note: The default Named Subnet cannot be removed.
- Log into the Broker UI as an administrative user
- Navigate to Admin > Control Panel
- Select the Named Subnet tile
- A list of existing Named Subnets is displayed
- On the Named Subnet to be removed, select the Edit drop down list
Click Remove
- Click Remove
- The Named Subnet has been removed
Assigning Permissions
This section describes the steps required to assign permissions to a Named Subnet.
By default, all users and groups are granted access to use a created Named Subnet.
- Log into the Broker UI as an administrative user
- Navigate to Admin > Control Panel
- Select the Named Subnet tile
- A list of existing Name Subnets is displayed
- On the Named Subnet to be removed, select the Edit drop down list
Click Permissions - Modify the permissions as required
The following management activities are available on this screen:- Click the Permission tag toggle it's state for the listed user or group
- Click Add to add additional users or groups
