IP Pools allow administrators to define sets of IP ranges which are used to manage static addresses of virtual machines. When a virtual machine is deployed as part of a blueprint with an IP Pool enabled, its static address is automatically configured and the address allocated out of the IP Pool. When the virtual machine resource is terminated, the address is de-allocated from the IP Pool.
When defining IP Pools, administrators also define scope rules to determine when the IP Pool will be used. This allows solution designers to build stateless blueprints with IP Pools resolved at the time of deployment.
